Saturday February 19th I raced the 47km classic Gatineau Worldloppet to a respectable 18th place overall. I am pleased to say I felt good from start to finish and my Fischer skis were gliding fast. In fact I passed approximately 15 skiers in the final 20kms of the course. It was a nice change in conditions from Italy with +- 30cms of fresh snow and cold blustery Canadian air!! I am happy to have placed 1rst in my age category. It’s nice to see the younger generation of XC skiers strong, passionate and present on the course. Congratulations to all the brave skiers, to the Gatineau organization and volunteers.
